Eclipse Racing is all about bringing women, trans, and femme (WTF) cyclists into the sport of bike racing by creating a space to learn and grow as cyclists. We have fun and we race hard – but most importantly we are awesome to each other and a positive force in our community. We race on the road and at the track and many on our squad also race cyclocross, gravel, and mountain biking events.
The Eclipse Racing team was originally founded as SheSpoke Racing in 2015, with new racer development as our primary focus. We set out to build a welcoming and fun space for WTF riders to explore, learn, and grow as bike racers. Eclipse Racing team members embody our values of mutual support and learning, camaraderie, and positivity – we support each other and other racers, we build community alongside competitiveness, and we are proactive in growing the sport through our actions and our attitudes.
Eclipse Racing is grassroots and team-driven. In addition to racing, many of our team members are active in the cycling community. We volunteer as race mentors, and serve as board members of the NCNCA, Hellyer Velodrome, and the Berkeley Bicycle Club. You can also find us on charity rides, including the AIDS LifeCycle ride, or participating in local group events like the Coast Ride, the Oakland Gran Fondo, and the Rapha Women’s 100.
